She made sure we centered ourselves and our love story, kicked people out of our apartment (kindly) before the ceremony so we could have our own moment, handled last minute changes with ease, and absolutely nailed our ceremony script.

The energy she brings to the wedding planning process is unmatched with her positive, can do, supportive and inclusive attitude. I don't care when or where, but when we renew our vows years down the line, Whittney will be our first call!

Whittney was by far the best vendor we hired for our wedding in September 2022! We wanted as many Black-owned businesses as a part of our wedding as possible. And since we don't have a home church, we wanted to find an officiant that also offered pre-martial counseling so we could build rapport before the big day. We wanted someone to marry us that, well, knew us.  Whittney checked all those boxes and I could feel her energy through the screen!

After our first call, we had the best feeling. We felt heard, seen, and listened to. The entire process was seamless and really groundbreaking in our relationship (We will use her advice throughout our entire marriage, guaranteed). Look no further….Rev. Whitney-Marie needs to be your officiant!!! If there is one aspect of our wedding that our guests can’t stop talking about, it was our entire ceremony script and how she captured our love story for our guests to enjoy.

We decided to hire Rev. Whitney-Marie as our officiant and pre-marital counselor. For us, we wanted to hire someone who could fulfill both counseling and officiating. We reached out to a couple different vendors, asked a ton of questions along the way, and we confidently decided on her to to fulfill these services.

Pre-marital counseling comes with it’s own stigma that made us a bit nervous while also being curious as to what we would truly learn about one another since my husband and I have been together for 11 years prior to our wedding. Rev. Whitney-Marie made us feel so incredibly comfortable during our first session and my husband and I genuinely left each session having learned something new about one another as well as great strategies to continue applying in relationship as we embark on our new married life journey.

Building on that, that same comfort that was felt in those sessions on Zoom, was felt even on our big day. Rev Whitney-Marie entered our getting ready space comforting both myself and my husband while also initiating an intimate prayer circle with our parents, grandparents and bridal party before we walked out for the ceremony. The words spoken during our ceremony was everything and more; she truly was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.

A Truly Personalized and Unforgettable Wedding Ceremony with Reverend Whittney-Marie

My husband and I recently had the immense pleasure of having Rev. Whittney-Marie as the officiant at our wedding, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. From the moment we first contacted her, we were treated with the utmost professionalism and respect. Her informational materials showcased her thoughtfulness, insight, wisdom, and thoroughness, all of which were confirmed as we worked with her throughout the process.

Rev. Whittney-Marie took the time to get to know us, meeting with us over Zoom on multiple occasions and sending supportive check-in emails leading up to the big day. We instantly connected with her sense of humor and thoughtfulness. She had us complete questionnaires to understand our love story, allowing her to craft a customized ceremony that incorporated both of our cultural backgrounds—Irish and Filipino—with sensitivity to our feelings about religion.

She provided us with a written script of the ceremony beforehand, including the poems and religious scriptures she would read. Interestingly, certain portions of the script were blacked out. She explained that this allowed us to genuinely react to her words during the ceremony itself. We appreciated having the option to read it, but we followed her recommendation and chose not to. This resulted in moments of surprise and joy that were beautifully captured by our videographer and will be cherished for years to come.

Rev. Whittney-Marie also wisely advised us not to practice our self-written vows in front of each other before the ceremony. This made our exchange of vows even more heartfelt and moving as we were hearing them for the first time.

On the day of the ceremony, Rev. Whittney-Marie's warmth and openness made her feel like a close friend. One of my friends even remarked that she initially thought Rev. Whittney-Marie was one of our friends. In the quiet moment as I was waiting for the ceremony to begin, Rev. Whittney-Marie provided support, reassurance to have tissues at the ready, and words of encouragement and inspiration. We truly felt that she was not just our officiant, but also a cherished guest at our wedding.

Her ability to spontaneously adapt and incorporate humor during unexpected moments added an extra layer of joy to our special day. Her quick wit and ad-libbing drew smiles and laughter from our guests, making the atmosphere even more memorable.

In short, we’re absolutely elated that we chose Rev. Whittney-Marie as our wedding officiant. Her guidance, expertise, and genuine care for our love story made our wedding ceremony an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend her to other couples looking for a truly personalized and memorable wedding ceremony.
