Upset and disappointed - I’ve been going to this place for threading since they were a small shop at the Block Arcade. This morning I went to the South Melbourne shop. The lady who did my eyebrow threading cleaned up and retained the shape of the right eyebrow. However she botched the shape of the left eyebrow and insisted to do the same on the right eyebrow. She blamed that my eyebrows were not even - when what we discussed at the start was to keep the shape and just do a clean-up. I felt upset at her insistence it was my eyebrows fault being uneven and was further upset at her suggestion that the only solution is to grow them out. I’ve been a very loyal customer and have been willing to pay premium to get good eyebrow grooming. However today’s experience left me very upset and disappointed. I don’t think I want to come back again.

Simran did a great job on my brows. There were notes written on my file to help her do the best tint colour for my brows. This one was complimentary as I’d been there for a few visits and it’s recorded with my phone number, as opposed to a card that I’ve never remembered to take again, at other salons. Great job Simran. Looks great!

I’ve been coming to brow bar for some time now and usually, they do an alright job. Last weekend however, I went and they asked the usual questions of what services I wanted done. I asked for a simple tidy up with nothing taken from the volume and a tint. When she showed me the first brow, half the tail had been threaded and a significant amount was taken from the top of my brow. I mentioned my disappointment and asked for my other brow to be done the same then so I don’t walk around with uneven brows. Anyway, I now have 2 different shape eye brows and although I was not charged for the service (apparently that’s policy if you’re unhappy) that doesn’t make up for the months that it will take for my brows to grow back. I was told to next time tell them how I wanted them done, but I did. I couldn’t have been more clear.
Just be mindful when going to this place that it’s hit or miss.
